Fire Alarm Service Technician

Job overview

The Fire Alarm Service Technician role is onsite in Apex, North Carolina. Compensation is $30–$40 per hour, based on experience. The employer’s client provides inspection, testing, maintenance, installation, and repair services for fire and life-safety systems. The technician inspects, tests, troubleshoots, maintains, and repairs commercial and industrial fire alarm systems to help ensure proper operation and compliance with applicable codes and standards. The role also responds to service calls, documents findings, and communicates recommended repairs to customers.

What you'll do

• Inspect and test fire alarm systems and components
• document deficiencies and test results
• troubleshoot malfunctions involving wiring, devices, circuitry, programming, or software
• perform repairs and preventative maintenance
• respond to service calls and emergency requests
• interpret drawings and schematics
• prepare service reports and work orders
• communicate findings and repair recommendations to customers
• coordinate with service teams.
