HVAC Installer – Commercial and Industrial Systems

Job overview

The HVAC Installer role is an onsite, full-time position in Greenville, SC, paying $28–$36 per hour. The installer joins Scout Mechanical’s growing Service Division, which handles commercial and industrial HVAC installation work. The installer sets and installs HVAC equipment and related mechanical systems, interprets plans and manuals, and coordinates progress and project needs with the HVAC superintendent. The role contributes to safe, timely installation and quality work, including directing helpers or apprentices when needed.

What you'll do

• Set and install commercial HVAC equipment, curbs, field-installed components, and low-voltage accessories
• install related mechanical equipment such as ductwork, fans, heaters, louvers, and exhaust fans as applicable
• read engineered drawings and installation manuals
• source materials or parts as needed
• operate power tools safely
• communicate progress and project needs to the HVAC superintendent
• identify and report change-order items
• direct helpers or apprentices
• follow safety practices and wear required PPE.
