The Cold-Forming Thread Roll Technician role is onsite in Rockford, IL. Compensation is $30–$40 per hour, DOE. The role supports an established manufacturing site producing fasteners. The technician operates and adjusts thread-rolling equipment and checks product dimensions and thread quality. Accurate setup, inspection, and routine maintenance help the production and quality teams meet throughput and consistency goals.

What you'll do

• Operate, monitor, and fine-tune thread-rolling equipment
• inspect dimensions and thread quality using gauges and inspection tools
• read and apply blueprints and technical drawings
• diagnose minor issues, make small adjustments, and perform routine maintenance
• meet throughput goals while maintaining quality
• work with production and quality teams on consistency and process improvements
• maintain a safe, orderly workstation.

Why this role

Requires 1–2+ years of dedicated thread-rolling machine operation, fastener manufacturing and maintenance knowledge, and blueprint-reading ability. Schedule is Monday–Thursday, with possible Friday overtime; first shift is 7:00 AM–5:00 PM or second shift is 5:00 PM–3:00 AM. Visa sponsorship and relocation assistance are not offered.
