The Heavy Equipment Mechanic/Technician is an onsite role based in Riverview, FL, at the Sun Country Materials Landfill. Compensation is $28.00–$31.00/hour. This role exists to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heavy equipment (Yellow Iron) to ensure landfill operations remain efficient. It contributes to the team by maintaining a safe, operational fleet and providing field support when necessary.

What you'll do

• Diagnose and repair landfill compactors, dozers, excavators, and haul trucks.
• Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled services.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and brake systems.
• Complete work orders using fleet maintenance software.
• Perform field repairs on the landfill working face.
