The Ultrasound Technologist - Radiology is an onsite contract role based in Avon, CT. Compensation is not specified for this position, which supports the radiology department at Hartford Hospital, a Level 1 Trauma Center. This role exists to perform diagnostic procedures on patients using ultrasound waves to examine tissue and body structure. The technologist provides quality images to radiologists and physicians for interpretation, covering a range of procedures including abdominal, pelvic, gynecologic, and Doppler studies.

What you'll do

• Performs diagnostic procedures on patients using ultrasound waves to examine tissue and body structure, providing quality images to radiologists and physicians for interpretation.
• Performs all aspects of ultrasound procedures including abdominal, pelvic, gynecologic, small parts, Doppler studies and interventional procedures.
• Utilizes an understanding of the principles of growth and development to assess each patient’s individual age specific needs and to provide individualized age specific treatment and care.
• May perform procedures in other departments such as O.R., I.R.
• and on hospital inpatient units.
