The Database Engineer role is onsite in Annapolis Junction, MD. The pay range is $170,000–$200,000 per year. GRVTY delivers mission and technical expertise to address national security challenges and support defense and technology customers. The engineer designs, develops, implements, and maintains database structures and related software, translating requirements and data into usable schemas, queries, scripts, and macros. The role supports system architecture and lifecycle work, including requirements development, optimization, and system acceptance testing, while balancing performance, scale, retention, security, and domain controls.

What you'll do

• Support database design, development, implementation, storage, retrieval, data flow, and analysis
• develop database structures, parser software, and loading software
• create and update queries, scripts, and macros to organize data into usable schemas and master files
• support database administration and design requirements
• analyze system improvements and optimization
• align database structures with system architecture and requirements
• use cloud methodologies for database storage and retrieval.

Why this role

Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance required; Oracle Database, Oracle Enterprise Manager, Oracle Data Guard, Linux, Bash scripting, and Mongo experience; 10 years of DBE experience; bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or five years of DBE experience substituted for the degree.
