Young Adult Career Advisor — Flagstone Family Center

The Young Adult Career Advisor works onsite in Brooklyn, New York, full-time for 35 hours per week. Compensation is $43,000–$46,378 per year. CAMBA’s Flagstone Family Center provides case management to families in a transitional residence program. The advisor assesses participants’ needs and helps young adults pursue education and employment goals. Through counseling, referrals, workshops, and follow-up, the role supports participants in addressing barriers and accessing community resources.

What you'll do

• Assess participant needs and skills
• administer career inventories and personality tests
• arrange job-shadowing opportunities
• help parenting youth find educational and recreational opportunities for their children
• maintain client files
• identify resources and make referrals
• counsel and follow up with clients
• facilitate life skills, college exploration, and work exploration workshops
• provide reports
• and, as applicable, assist with applications, eligibility screening, and client advocacy.
