Director of Development — Major Gifts

Job overview

Compensation is $2,000,000–$8,000,000 per year. The Director of Development — Major Gifts role is hybrid in Charlotte, NC, with three to four days in the office and one to two remote. The role supports a fast-growing Christian global ministry that equips local pastors and church planters and builds community centers offering medical care and job training. The director takes ownership of most of the President’s major-donor portfolio while developing new donor, foundation, and church relationships. Through donor stewardship, fundraising growth, vision trips, and clear impact communications, the role helps fund the ministry’s work and advance its growth plans.

What you'll do

• Manage and steward an inherited portfolio of major donors through calls, visits, and recognition
• identify new major donors, foundations, and church partners
• host international donor and prospect vision trips at least twice a year
• develop impact stories, acknowledgments, updates, and virtual events
• maintain donor records in the CRM and report progress against annual revenue goals.
