Configuration Management Associate

The Configuration Management Associate role is hybrid in Manassas, VA, with pay of $31.14–$33.40 per hour. The position is on-site or hybrid/flex with the Progeny Systems team at the Innovation site. General Dynamics Mission Systems develops high-technology solutions for defense and scientific missions. The associate coordinates software and firmware build configuration, documentation, and release processes to ensure builds are controlled, repeatable, and aligned across test, production, lab, and installation environments. The role works with hardware, software, test, and installation teams and supports customer shipments and contract deliverables.

What you'll do

• Coordinate with hardware, software, test, and installation teams on build schedules
• initiate build and packaging processes
• create and evaluate software and firmware installation procedures
• generate, review, and execute build documentation with subject-matter experts
• ensure builds are correctly configured, controlled, tracked, and stored
• verify repeatable builds across media and development stages
• align software, test, production, lab, and shipboard installation builds
• coordinate media shipments to customer locations
• track server and network-switch licenses
• contribute to contract deliverable documentation.
