Construction Estimator

The Construction Estimator role is primarily an onsite office position in Lakeland, FL. The stated salary range is $85,000–$125,000 per year. The estimator develops project estimates and supports preconstruction, from reviewing plans and obtaining vendor and subcontractor proposals to coordinating with project managers on cost control. The work helps the company prepare bids and manage awarded project costs against estimates.

What you'll do

• Review plans, specifications, and project documents
• perform quantity takeoffs
• obtain vendor and subcontractor quotes and define scopes
• prepare cost estimates and work schedules
• attend pre-bid meetings and visit sites as needed
• coordinate with construction leadership and project managers
• support subcontractor selection, negotiation, and buyout
• prepare reports and monitor cost trends.
