What you'll do

• Provide specialized PICU nursing care
• assess and monitor critically ill pediatric patients
• monitor cardiac, respiratory, neurological, and hemodynamic status
• perform EKGs and recognize abnormal rhythms
• administer and monitor inotropic medications
• care for patients with epilepsy and neurological conditions
• administer treatments according to protocols
• respond to changes and initiate interventions
• collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams
• document care
• follow infection-control and critical-care protocols
• participate in emergency and resuscitation situations.
