Veterinary Technician — Surgery & Anesthesia

The Veterinary Technician — Surgery & Anesthesia role is onsite in Wheat Ridge, CO, with four 10-hour shifts per week and overnight or weekend on-call shifts once trained. Pay is $26–$30 per hour based on experience, with additional pay for on-call shifts and a call-in procedural bonus. The role supports the surgery department at Wheat Ridge Animal Hospital, a referral hospital with board-certified surgeons and rotating interns. The technician supports surgical patient care through preparation, anesthesia, monitoring, imaging, and assistance to surgeons. The role contributes to compassionate, high-quality care for complex referral cases while communicating with clients and coordinating patient admissions and discharges.

What you'll do

• Prepare patients before surgery and monitor them after surgery
• provide sedation and anesthesia induction and monitoring
• perform radiography
• assist surgeons in and out of the operating room
• communicate with clients
• admit and discharge patients as needed.
