Job overview

The Licensed Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor (LADAC) role is onsite in Albuquerque, NM. Compensation is not specified. State of the Heart Recovery provides trauma-informed, person-centered behavioral health services to adults experiencing substance use and co-occurring disorders. The counselor supports client stabilization, engagement, and long-term wellness through assessments, individualized treatment planning, and evidence-based counseling. The role also maintains clinical documentation and regulatory compliance, coordinates referrals, and collaborates with an interdisciplinary team.

What you'll do

  • Conduct intake, diagnostic, GPRA, ASAM, and psychosocial assessments
  • develop and update individualized treatment plans
  • provide individual and group counseling using CBT, MI, CRA, psychoeducation, and relapse-prevention approaches
  • document clinical services and submit reports on time
  • comply with confidentiality, ethical, and regulatory requirements
  • support crisis response according to training and protocols
  • coordinate referrals
  • maintain licensure and continuing education
  • attend trainings, meetings, supervision, chart reviews, and case consultations.
