What you'll do

• Assess and provide interventions and follow-up for student illness and injury
• identify, assess, plan for, interview about, and evaluate student health concerns
• explain health status to parents and school personnel
• initiate referrals and facilitate follow-up
• plan school management of student health needs and delegate procedures consistent with the NC Nurse Practice Act
• provide health promotion and disease-prevention education.
