This role requires designing, implementing, and maintaining reliable power solutions for critical infrastructure and advanced energy systems, with a strong background in high voltage transmission, substation design, data center power, on-site generation, solar PV, and battery storage.

What you'll do

• Perform load analysis, equipment selection, and system integration for utility and industrial power systems.
• Lead the electrical design and layout of data center primary power distribution systems, including UPS, switchgear, and backup power solutions.
• Develop and implement on-site power generation and distribution strategies, including diesel generators, gas turbines, fuel cells and hybrid systems.
• Design, evaluate, and integrate solar PV arrays and battery energy storage solutions for commercial and industrial applications.
• Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies, and system performance modeling for renewable energy projects.
• Prepare technical documentation, including single-line diagrams, schematics and specifications.
• Coordinate with project managers, clients, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
• Support commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical systems on-site as required.
• Design high voltage transmission and distribution circuits, meeting all engineering standards and criteria.
• Stay current on emerging and current technologies, practices and processes related to talent development programs.

What we're looking for

Education

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering

Experience

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; Professional Engineer (PE) License; 8 years of experience in high voltage transmission, substation engineering, sited generation, and data center power systems; Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., ETAP, SKM, AutoCAD, Revit) and familiarity with relevant codes (e.g., NEC, IEEE, IEC); Demonstrated experience with solar PV systems and battery storage technologies; Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, problem-solving/conflict resolution, time management, and independent decision-making; Excellent communication and presentation skills, with ability to collaborate across teams; Ability to travel to project sites as needed.
