What you'll do

• Design and analyze the mechanical structure of a commercial thermal energy storage system
• create CAD parts, assemblies, and drawings with design, construction, commissioning, and R&D teams
• use engineering analysis and simulation to inform prototypes and product design
• provide onsite support during critical first-of-a-kind system construction
• maintain design specifications, CAD models, simulation results, and test reports
• report progress to stakeholders
• support external contractor management and review deliverables for quality.

Why this role

Requires a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and 1–5 years of relevant design experience, or a master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; at least one year managing external engineering contractors. Python or MATLAB, fabrication, commissioning, and renewable energy experience are listed as pluses.
