The Investment Advisory Services Intern role is onsite in Akron, OH. Pay is $20 per hour. The intern supports Valmark Financial Group’s Investment Operations team and Financial Advisors, working with custodians including Charles Schwab and Pershing. Through hands-on training, the intern learns how accounts, money movements, and asset transfers are processed while supporting account servicing and issue resolution. The work helps the team follow up on requests, resolve operational issues, and provide service to advisors and clients.

What you'll do

• Assist with research and data-update projects
• support new account setup and maintenance, asset transfers, and money movements
• review custodial reports and notifications
• monitor outstanding requests and escalate issues
• use Microsoft Office, Microsoft Dynamics, MyCase, LaserApp, Schwab Advisor Center, and Pershing NetX360
• document accurate CRM notes
• support research, troubleshooting, and team coverage.

Why this role

Applicants must be currently enrolled in a degree program in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field and authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. Schedule is 16–24 hours weekly during spring and fall semesters and 30–40 hours weekly in summer.
