The Diesel Technician - CDL role is onsite in Saint Louis, MO. The posting states pay of $31.81 per hour. The position begins on day shifts and moves to second shift after 90 days; the described second shift runs 3:30 p.m. to midnight, Monday through Friday. The client is a family-owned union diesel repair shop serving the St. Louis area for more than 80 years. The technician diagnoses and repairs diesel vehicles and related systems, helping the shop return customer vehicles to service. The work includes inspections, maintenance, repairs, testing, and accurate service and parts records.

What you'll do

• Evaluate work orders and customer concerns
• scope issues and prepare work plans
• run diesel engine diagnostics and interpret results
• inspect suspension, steering, and exhaust systems
• repair or replace transmissions, brakes, engines, and related parts
• conduct emergency field visits
• test-drive repaired vehicles
• perform oil changes, coolant service, air-conditioning evaluations, and brake checks
• maintain parts and service records
• keep the work area clean and organized.
