Construction Superintendent

The Construction Superintendent role is an onsite field position in Houston, Texas, with travel to local job locations in and around Houston. Compensation is not specified. The superintendent leads construction job sites from mobilization through completion for Kent Companies. The role exists to coordinate field execution so projects meet safety, quality, schedule, and budget expectations. It directs crews and subcontractors, tracks labor, materials, and equipment, communicates with clients and project leadership, and maintains project documentation and financial accountability.

What you'll do

• Lead job-site safety, identify and correct unsafe conditions, and conduct daily reporting, JHAs, and toolbox talks
• review construction drawings and updates
• monitor budgets and job sequencing
• communicate expectations with teams and clients
• manage labor, materials, equipment, deliveries, and schedules
• supervise subcontractors, foremen, and craftsmen
• maintain quality and layout
• coordinate schedules with the General Superintendent and Project Manager
• participate in monthly cost-to-complete meetings.
