Job overview

The Cashier works onsite in Prentiss, MS; compensation is $9–$10 per hour. Prentiss Ace Hardware is a retail store where cashiers welcome customers and support their shopping experience. The cashier processes purchases and payments, assists with returns and customer concerns, and helps keep the register area organized. The role also supports store upkeep by helping stock merchandise and cleaning as needed.

What you'll do

• Greet customers
• scan items and apply paid labels to items too large to bag
• process cash, card, and check payments
• count change and provide receipts
• process returns and exchanges according to store policy and manager approval
• keep the register area clean and organized
• address customer complaints or refer them to a supervisor
• help stock when needed
• and sweep and mop as needed.
