Group Exercise Instructor – Spin

The Group Exercise Instructor – Spin role is onsite in Hyde Park, MA, and is part-time; pay is $30–$40 per hour. The instructor reports to the Health and Wellness Director and works with Wellness staff at the YMCA of Greater Boston. The instructor leads safe, engaging classes for participants with varied fitness levels and needs. Through instruction, adaptations, and member relationships, the role supports participants’ health and well-being and helps build community within classes.

What you'll do

• Lead safe, enjoyable, and educational group exercise classes
• answer participant questions
• maintain knowledge of wellness trends through training
• build relationships and connections among members
• adapt instruction to participants’ capabilities, health, and culture
• record attendance using MotionVibe
• follow YMCA policies and procedures
• respond to emergencies
• resolve member issues professionally.
