The CNC Machinist — Programming is an onsite role in Hickory, NC, with compensation of $28–$32 per hour. The position supports a small, fast-paced precision manufacturing team and reports to the Shop Foreman. The machinist independently sets up and operates CNC and manual equipment to produce parts to specification. The role contributes to quality production by interpreting drawings, programming, inspecting work, and sharing technical knowledge with less experienced machinists.

What you'll do

• Set up and operate CNC mills, CNC lathes, and water jet equipment
• plan job sequencing and select tooling and fixturing
• read technical drawings and GD&T
• write or edit basic CNC programs and adjust offsets
• inspect parts using precision measuring instruments
• report quality, tooling, and equipment issues
• provide scheduling and job-status input
• mentor less experienced machinists
• maintain a safe, organized work area.
