Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Long Term Care (LTC) - FT Days in Battle Creek, NE. This is a full-time, onsite position with a salary range of $24.00 - $36.00 per hour. The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides professional nursing care for residents of all ages in long term care, under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician. This role involves demonstrating knowledge of nursing principles and utilizing appropriate age and population-specific standards.

What you'll do

• Provide professional nursing care for residents of all ages in long term care, under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician.
• Demonstrate knowledge of nursing principles for the resident in the relevant clinical setting.
• Demonstrate competency and practice within the full scope of nursing expertise/knowledge and utilize appropriate age and population specific standards related to the physical and psychosocial needs of the resident as per care plan.
• Perform testing to evaluate data reflective of the resident's status and to provide the care needed.
• Recognize problems, recommend solutions and respond effectively to assist in an emergent situation.
• Ensure the health, comfort and safety of residents.
• Contribute to the assessment of residents and administer medications or treatments as ordered.
• Provide technical support to healthcare professionals as needed.
• Document resident interactions and outcomes.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with residents, healthcare providers, and the public.
• Work effectively with professional and supportive personnel as a member of an interdisciplinary care team.
• Communicate clearly and maintain confidentiality.
• Counsel residents, family members and/or resident advocate on prevention and treatment plans.
• Develop a self-care program.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

What we're looking for

Education

Currently holds an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges.

Experience

Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred.
