Patient Account Representative

The Patient Account Representative is an onsite role in Roseau, MN, with compensation of $19.48–$27.27 per hour. The schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, on the day shift. The role supports LifeCare Medical Center’s patient billing and claims processes as part of its regional healthcare services. The role exists to process insurance claims and help patients resolve account questions. It monitors claim progress, follows up on unpaid or denied claims, and works with coding staff to identify trends and process improvements.

What you'll do

• Review and process insurance forms for inpatient and outpatient services
• monitor work queues and submit claims to secondary insurance when appropriate
• obtain missing insurance information
• follow up on outstanding or denied claims and resubmit as needed
• assist patients with account questions
• obtain information for liability and workers’ compensation claims
• work with coders on denial trends and process improvements
• track updates to insurance billing practices.
