Dance Instructor

The Dance Instructor role is onsite at Boulder Point in Montgomery, IL. Compensation is $17–$22 per hour, DOE. The position reports to the Recreation Supervisor – Dance at Oswegoland Park District. The instructor teaches dance classes across styles and skill levels, helping participants develop their abilities and prepare for performances. The role supports the district's dance program through lesson planning, choreography, participant feedback, communication with families, and assistance with recitals and program promotion.

What you'll do

• Teach dance classes such as pre-ballet, hip hop, and jazz for different levels and ages
• prepare lesson plans
• create choreography and select music
• assist at recitals
• evaluate participants and recommend improvements
• train, supervise, and motivate participants
• communicate with participants and parents
• complete costume forms, evaluations, and other administrative requests
• assist with marketing and promotion.
