What you'll do

• Assist with daily operations and general upkeep of asphalt plants.
• Perform manual labor tasks such as shoveling, sweeping, cleaning, and material handling.
• Conduct daily inspections and routine maintenance of plant equipment, including lubrication of bearings and motors.
• Support plant start-up, shut-down, and troubleshooting activities.
• Operate hand tools, pneumatic tools, and light equipment including forklifts, loaders, and skid steers.
• Complete and document daily inspection checklists and maintenance logs.
• Assist the Asphalt Plant Operator with inventory and substitute when required.
• Perform preventive maintenance and minor mechanical, electrical, and welding repairs.
• Load and unload materials as necessary.
• Follow OSHA, MSHA, and company safety standards and wear PPE at all times.
• Travel interisland or to various job sites regularly, based on operational needs.
• Complete additional tasks as assigned by supervisor or plant operator.
