Cost Controls Specialist

Job overview

The Cost Controls Specialist role is onsite in Mount Storm, WV, with compensation of $50–$52 per hour on W-2. The role supports a large capital generator outage project. Working with Project Managers and Project Controls teams, the specialist tracks project costs and financial processes throughout the project lifecycle. Accurate forecasts, budget monitoring, reporting, and closeout support help the project team manage financial performance and controls.

What you'll do

• Create and track purchase orders
• process and maintain change orders
• develop monthly cost forecasts
• track budgets, invoices, accruals, and financial performance
• monitor contract milestones and funding
• assist with closeout, asset unitization, and retirement
• support capital budget development and Project Request Forms
• assist with audit documentation and financial reporting
• generate SAP cost reports and analyze forecast versus actual spending
• recommend process improvements.
