The Truck Driver role is an onsite position in Syracuse, NY, paying $17–$18.50 per hour. The role supports The Salvation Army Syracuse Adult Rehabilitation Center’s pickup, delivery, and work therapy activities. The driver exists to operate the assigned vehicle safely, complete scheduled pickups and deliveries, and handle donated goods carefully. The role also supports thrift store operations and provides instruction and supervision to a truck helper in the rehabilitation program.

What you'll do

• Operate and secure the assigned vehicle and equipment
• inspect the vehicle daily and report problems or incidents
• plan routes and complete scheduled pickups
• treat customers courteously and follow applicable procedures
• maintain accurate records and communication
• load and unload goods safely
• assist thrift store personnel with deliveries
• instruct and supervise the truck helper as directed.
