Job overview
The Helpdesk Technician role provides onsite Tier I and Tier II support in Bethesda, MD; situational telework is possible only when authorized by the Government. Compensation is $48,000–$55,000 per year, depending on experience. The role supports the Naval Medical Leader and Professional Development Command in a secure Department of Defense environment. The technician restores Apple devices, software, operating systems, peripherals, and network connectivity to operational status while providing responsive user support. The work contributes to reliable access to organizational resources through troubleshooting, device lifecycle support, ticket resolution, and adherence to cybersecurity and configuration procedures.
What you'll do
- Receive, assess, document, and resolve technical support requests and trouble tickets
- provide Tier I–II support for Mac desktops and laptops, macOS, iPads, iPhones, printers, scanners, and peripherals
- troubleshoot hardware, software, account, connectivity, and peripheral issues
- configure devices, install software and updates, and support endpoint management
- assist users with Microsoft 365, Adobe Creative Cloud, Citrix, Oracle, SharePoint, and other listed applications
- coordinate escalations with technical teams
- provide status updates and maintain technical documentation and inventory
- support device deployment, replacement, refresh, and lifecycle activities
- follow cybersecurity, configuration-management, and customer-service procedures.
