The Environmental Engineer (PE) role is onsite in Charlotte, NC. Compensation is competitive and based on experience; no numeric range is specified. The position supports S&ME’s Charlotte team and the expansion of its regional environmental services. The engineer leads projects, provides technical oversight for environmental investigations and remediation, and supervises and mentors engineers, geologists, and technical staff. The role also contributes to client relationships and business development to grow the environmental practice.

What you'll do

• Manage project scoping, budgeting, execution, reporting, and client communication
• provide technical oversight for remediation, vapor intrusion, contaminated site management, and emerging contaminant investigations
• oversee field investigations and design recommendations
• mentor engineers, geologists, and technical staff
• identify and pursue project opportunities and develop client relationships.

Why this role
