The Chef role is onsite in Terre Haute, IN, at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. Pay is $18.00–$20.00 per hour. Bon Appétit operates cafés for universities and other organizations and emphasizes scratch cooking with fresh, local ingredients. This role leads kitchen and food-service work to deliver safe, high-quality meals on schedule. It supports that goal by supervising associates, preparing food, maintaining service and sanitation standards, and managing food inventory and waste.

What you'll do

• Supervise and participate in food preparation, cooking, and service
• ensure food handling, sanitation, and customer service standards
• supervise hourly kitchen associates, including scheduling, training, and payroll
• prepare food to standardized recipes and service schedules
• maintain presentation, quality, portion control, and serving temperatures
• track food use and waste
• inspect supplies
• maintain clean equipment and work areas
• help select and develop recipes and menus.

Why this role
