The Registered Nurse (RN) is an onsite role based in Centreville, VA, with a compensation range of $48.30–$54.00 per hour. This position supports Mary Washington Healthcare in delivering comprehensive, patient-centered care within their clinical units. The role exists to provide total, continuous nursing care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The Registered Nurse collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to improve quality of care and ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.

What you'll do

• Direct and coordinate nursing care, including oversight of licensed and unlicensed personnel.
• Coordinate involvement of the patient, family, and health team members in patient care, including teaching and discharge planning.
• Communicate and coordinate the plan of care.
• Assist leadership to define standards of excellence for patient care.
• Participate in performance improvement and quality activities.
• Participate in orientation of new staff.
• Act as a point of contact on hospital policies.
• Participate in daily operational activities for a safe environment.
• Provide input to the Nurse Manager regarding unit needs.
• Participate in committees for policy formulation.
• Perform comprehensive assessments and develop/implement/evaluate plans of care.
• Serve as case manager when assigned.
• Maintain productivity standards.
• Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings.
