The Senior Scientist, Protein Engineering role is full-time and onsite in Bothell, WA, with some evening meetings required. The expected base salary range is $90,000–$140,000 per year. The role supports SystImmune’s Protein Engineering group as it advances therapeutic antibodies and antibody-drug conjugates through discovery and development. The scientist designs and interprets experiments, analyzes data, and translates results into decisions that advance drug-development programs. The role combines hands-on protein engineering and laboratory work with computational methods, project leadership, and mentorship of junior scientists and research associates.

What you'll do

• Lead target projects, literature reviews, cross-functional coordination, timelines, and data reports
• design, optimize, and characterize therapeutic antibody candidates
• apply computational, statistical, programming, and AI/ML tools to data analysis and candidate selection
• perform protein purification and analytics, mammalian expression and cell culture, and molecular biology techniques
• mentor junior scientists and research associates
• and maintain laboratory records, safety compliance, and lab organization.
