What you'll do

• Plan, direct, and monitor continuous miner maintenance for setup, production, and recovery
• coordinate maintenance and outby crew support with mine management
• recommend equipment and production-method improvements
• conduct meetings and organize training
• set goals and standards with departments
• participate in equipment specifications, warranties, contracts, and price negotiations
• approve material and supply orders within authorized limits
• implement safety policies
• develop and monitor cost-reduction and productivity plans.
