The Registered Nurse (RN) — Cardiac Surgical Intensive Care Unit/Stepdown role is onsite in Tuscaloosa, AL, working 7 p.m.–7 a.m. Pay is $1,900–$1,944 per week. This is a 13-week travel assignment with 36 guaranteed hours; nurses must be willing to float to other units and hospitals. The nurse supports post-operative recovery and critical care for adult and geriatric patients with cardiac, thoracic, vascular, and other surgical conditions. The role contributes to patient-centered care through complex monitoring and care across the cardiac surgical ICU and stepdown unit.

What you'll do

• Provide nursing care in the cardiac surgical ICU and stepdown unit
• support post-operative recovery and complex invasive hemodynamic monitoring
• float to other units and hospitals as required
• work holidays and every other weekend. Requires an associate degree in nursing, two years of recent CVICU experience, Alabama or compact RN license, AHA BLS, and AHA NIH or Red Cross certification. PALS is preferred if working in a pediatric unit.
