Smile CDR Integration Developer

Job overview

The Smile CDR Integration Developer works onsite in Pittsburgh, PA. Compensation is $60–$65 per hour. The role supports healthcare data exchange across payer, provider, and regulatory platforms. The developer builds and supports scalable interoperability integrations using Smile CDR, FHIR APIs, Apache Camel, and related data technologies. The work contributes to CMS interoperability, prior authorization, provider access, payer-to-payer, and BCBSA interoperability solutions.

What you'll do

• Design and develop Smile CDR integrations and FHIR-based solutions
• develop Apache Camel routes and integration services
• build and support API integrations
• develop ETL and data ingestion pipelines using PySpark and Python
• consume and publish REST APIs
• develop JavaScript-based Smile CDR modules and automation
• collaborate with architects and business stakeholders
• support testing, deployment, monitoring, and production support
• participate in architecture and code reviews
• create technical documentation, data mappings, and integration specifications.

Why this role

Requires five years of software development experience and experience with Python/PySpark, Java, JavaScript, Apache Camel, REST APIs, JSON/XML, SQL, healthcare interoperability standards, APIs, distributed integration architectures, and ETL/data engineering. Smile CDR, HL7 FHIR R4, CMS interoperability, Databricks, Hadoop, GitLab CI/CD, and healthcare payer experience are preferred.
