Childcare Lead Teacher

The Childcare Lead Teacher role is onsite in Sequim, WA, with operating hours Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m. Pay is $17.50–$20 per hour. Sequim’s Little Explorers Early Learning Center says it supports children’s growth from infancy through preschool and partners with parents. The teacher creates a safe, nurturing learning environment, plans and implements the daily program, and supports children’s development through activities and positive guidance. The role also maintains communication with families and works with center staff to support enrollment and engagement goals.

What you'll do

• Create a warm, safe, and nurturing environment
• interact with children and encourage participation in activities
• plan and implement the daily program based on an emergent curriculum outline
• maintain child-to-staff ratios and visual and auditory supervision
• communicate with parents
• use positive discipline
• attend staff meetings and recommended training
• prepare and maintain an orderly classroom
• support center goals with staff and leadership.
