Provide ongoing assessment and care of the mother through the postpartum periods according to established guidelines. Provides ongoing assessment and care of the newborn according to established guidelines. Provides education to maternal newborn dyad from birth to discharge. Orchestrates and coordinates discharge planning and follow up care for mother and newborn.
