Assistant Field Technician

The Assistant Field Technician position is onsite in Ellisville, MS, with field work supporting projects across the United States. Pay is $26–$34 per hour. Prime Transformer Services supports critical infrastructure projects in utility, industrial, renewable energy, and substation environments. Working under direct supervision, the technician assists senior staff with jobsite preparation, equipment setup, transformer service tasks, and equipment care. The role provides on-the-job training to build skills for advancement to Transformer Field Technician I.

What you'll do

• Assist with equipment and work-area setup and teardown
• load, unload, organize, and transport tools and field equipment
• support project mobilization and demobilization
• stage materials
• assist with transformer assembly, disassembly, accessory installation, gasket replacement, component cleaning, and oil-processing setup
• clean and inspect equipment
• report damaged tools
• support field-supply inventory.
