What you'll do

• Review architectural and structural drawings, specifications, and proposals
• prepare time, cost, and labor estimates, bids, itemized pricing, and proposal documents
• maintain estimating files and bid logs
• collaborate with sales and engineering on scope, materials, and constructability
• build relationships with contractors, architects, and design professionals
• analyze cost data and identify efficiency opportunities
• present budgets and cost summaries
• coordinate estimates with production capabilities and schedules
• stay current on market conditions, codes, materials, and construction methods
• visit job sites as needed and participate in pre-bid meetings and client presentations.
