Team Leader

Job overview

The Team Leader position is onsite in Washington, DC, and pays $21.50 per hour, plus a Mystery Shopper bonus and tips. Pret makes food and organic coffee across its shops, and this role supports shop operations and guest service. The Team Leader runs shifts, coaches and trains team members, and maintains food, service, safety, and cleanliness standards. By coordinating daily operations and supporting sales and team development, the role helps the shop meet its goals and deliver a consistent guest experience.

What you'll do

• Run shifts and support smooth shop operations from opening to closing. Coach and train team members in food preparation, barista skills, guest service, and Pret standards
• provide feedback and conduct pre-shift meetings. Maintain product displays, food quality and temperatures, station readiness, and guest service, including the 60-second drink standard. Follow health and food safety procedures, complete checks and logs, keep the shop clean, open or close according to procedures, monitor stock and waste, address guest concerns, complete shift reports and inventory checks, and support sales goals.
