It also serves as a product expert on multiple equipment lines and mentors other field service engineers.

What you'll do

• Install, service, troubleshoot, and repair electronic and electromechanical equipment
• perform preventative maintenance, start-ups, warranty and service-contract work
• diagnose hardware and process problems
• complete installations and complex retrofits and obtain customer acceptance
• train customers on equipment operation and maintenance
• document service activities and maintain equipment records
• mentor field service engineers
• travel domestically and internationally overnight as needed, up to 75% of the time
• work overtime or respond to unscheduled callouts as needed.

Why this role

Requires an associate or bachelor's degree in a related engineering field plus four years of experience, or six to ten years of experience installing or repairing semiconductor/electronic production equipment. Requires a valid passport and Kepner-Tregoe Problem Solving and Decision-Making training.
