Outside Plant Inspector

Job overview

The Outside Plant Inspector role is based in Springfield, OR, with field travel to sites as needed and some overnight stays. The stated base pay range is $27–$32 per hour. What you'll do

• Inspect and verify client underground, buried, and aerial plant facilities against current standards
• perform audits, inspections, and pole transfers
• document findings electronically or on printed spreadsheets
• use mapping and GPS technology to locate infrastructure
• communicate with client and vendor management
• coordinate with construction crews, vendors, and client stakeholders
• maintain inspection, audit, and corrective-action records
• travel to field sites as needed.

Why this role

Requires NESC inspection or aerial cable line crew experience, wooden pole ground-line inspection experience, knowledge of OSP construction standards and NESC, contractor-management experience, a valid driver’s license, and flexibility to travel on short notice. Must live within 60 miles of Springfield, Oregon.
