Principal Electrical Power System Engineer

The Principal Electrical Power System Engineer role is onsite in Houston, TX. Compensation is not specified. The role supports Axiom Space’s commercial space station and its next-generation orbital infrastructure mission. This engineer owns assigned electrical power system segments from requirements and analysis through supplier coordination, interfaces, and verification. The work establishes and defends the technical basis for station power performance, safety, and integration across vehicle modules and external interfaces.

What you'll do

• Own assigned power-system requirements and traceability
• model power budgets, load flow, transients, stability, fault protection, and harness sizing
• evaluate conversion approaches and supplier designs
• maintain power-quality specifications and interface documents
• coordinate grounding, bonding, isolation, and EMC
• lead supplier technical engagement
• plan verification and testing
• present design and readiness reviews
• mentor engineers.
