What you'll do

• Follow up on medical claims and accounts receivable
• contact insurers about unpaid, denied, or underpaid claims
• review EOBs and payment information
• research denials and billing issues
• contact patients about balances when necessary
• verify insurance and responsible payers
• maintain collection notes
• monitor aging reports
• comply with HIPAA.
