Outpatient Substance Use Specialist

What you'll do

• Provide individual counseling
• assess and diagnose substance use and co-occurring disorders
• use Motivational Interviewing, Harm Reduction, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
• teach relapse prevention and provide psychoeducation
• refer clients to higher levels of care and community resources
• complete session notes within 48 hours and treatment plans every six months
• provide crisis management.
