Data Engineer III

The Data Engineer III role is remote within the United States, with pay of $48.60 per hour. The position supports a large-scale robot teleoperation and wearable data collection operation, replacing manual operational reporting with automated, trustworthy systems. The engineer designs and owns data models, pipelines, metrics, and reporting that help operational teams and leadership monitor collection volume, efficiency, data quality, and equipment uptime. The role partners with site leads, operators, program managers, and engineers to turn operational questions into reliable data products.

What you'll do

• Design and own dimensional data models and daily and cumulative table layers
• define and document canonical metrics
• build and maintain batch pipelines and ensure correctness, freshness, and backfills
• implement data-quality checks, anomaly detection, and freshness service-level agreements
• build dashboards, fleet-status views, operational briefs, and lightweight input interfaces
• automate recurring reporting and equipment tracking workflows
• partner with operational and technical stakeholders across two U.S. sites
• deliver ad hoc analysis for leadership.
