Quality Assurance Specialist — NASA Space Flight Hardware

The Quality Assurance Specialist role is onsite in Canoga Park, CA. Compensation is $85,000–$150,000 per year. The specialist supports NASA’s Safety and Mission Assurance Services II contract through a Resident Management Office. The role inspects and monitors space flight hardware through fabrication and testing, verifying that work and documentation meet customer-approved quality plans, specifications, and applicable quality management requirements.

What you'll do

• Perform quality inspection, assessment, and surveillance for space flight hardware
• maintain required training and certifications
• execute quality requirements during fabrication, testing, first-article inspections, and final inspections
• interpret blueprints and specifications
• initiate non-conformance reports
• document inspection results and monitor corrective actions
• inspect materials, components, and subassemblies and verify test results and documentation.
