What you'll do

• Learn to read menus and estimate food requirements
• prepare and cook food using production records and standardized recipes
• measure and mix ingredients
• cook foods under guidance
• portion and serve food as directed
• prepare fruits and vegetables
• maintain kitchen equipment and work areas
• follow sanitation and safety practices
• interact courteously with customers and coworkers.
