The role contributes to positive outcomes for children and families through collaboration with families, teaching teams, and program specialists.

What you'll do

  • Create and maintain a safe, welcoming, developmentally appropriate classroom
  • plan and implement weekly curriculum aligned with Massachusetts Early Learning Standards and program guidelines
  • use Pyramid Model and positive behavior support strategies
  • observe and assess children to individualize instruction and monitor progress
  • build family partnerships through communication, conferences, and home visits
  • collaborate with Family Services Specialists and program staff
  • supervise children and maintain safety
  • keep accurate developmental and program records
  • guide Teaching Assistants
  • participate in training, meetings, coaching, and professional development
  • report suspected abuse or neglect as a mandated reporter.
